Michael Mermey has worked in fashion for over 35 years.
With international experience, Michael has created and negotiated agreements among companies in 17 countries.
His signature deals include the sale of Ed Hardy to Iconix,
the sale of Monarchy to Hartmarx, and the Giorgio Armani and Valentino worldwide licenses with GFT, and Krizia and The Limited.  He has worked with leading consumer brands including Oscar de la Renta, Diesel, Adriano Goldschmied, Paloma Picasso, Monarchy, and the artist Ed Hardy.  A graduate of NYU School of Law, Michael practiced at Pavia & Harcourt, was a senior executive at Daniel Caron, Ltd, and at Fashion 500.com.  Michael became a full time consultant in the mid-1990's and co-founded SIG in 2001.


Kathie Mermey is known for her ability to recognize innovative, edgy design.  With over 40 years experience in fashion design and executive management, Kathie joined SIG in 2006.  A graduate of Parsons School of Design, she was president and a co-founding partner of Michaele Vollbracht and Company Ltd.  Prior to that she was a designer for Teal Traina, Pierre Cardin, Act III, White Stag and Susan Thomas. Kathie added another facet to her fashion background by working in retail, as Department Manager of the Collection department at J. Crew, Westport and in the Women's Buying Office of Mitchell's, Westport.

Kathie and Michael have been partners since 1977.
